Biocomputers.co.uk is an independent reference site following biological computing, with particular attention to living neural systems and organoid computing.

The aim is to keep three things together: clear explanations, primary sources and a dated record of what has actually been demonstrated. Commercial claims are labelled as such, and preprints are kept distinct from peer-reviewed work.

The editor is Torben Smith, PhD, a scientist and educator with a doctorate in organic chemistry from the University of Nottingham. Material outside his own research field is based on cited primary literature and specialist sources.

Corrections and stronger sources should replace weaker material as the field develops.
