Cortical Labs has a live purchase route for the CL1, a self-contained living-neuron platform. Remote access is also available through Cortical Cloud. FinalSpark offers remote access to human forebrain organoids through its Neuroplatform.

Short answer

Physical purchase: CL1. Remote access: Cortical Cloud and FinalSpark Neuroplatform. These are experimental platforms for research and development, with provider-specific access requirements.

Buying a physical CL1

Cortical's current site links directly to a CL1 purchase flow. The official page text checked on 17 August 2026 does not display a current price. IEEE Spectrum reported US$35,000 per unit when CL1 entered the market in 2025.

Remote access

Cortical Cloud removes the need to maintain the biological hardware locally and exposes CL1 systems through web tools and a Python SDK. FinalSpark's Neuroplatform provides shared or dedicated organoid access with recording, stimulation, notebooks and a Python API.

Who is this for?

Current platforms are aimed at laboratories, developers and research groups. Running living tissue locally adds cell-culture capability, biosafety procedures, maintenance and ethical governance. Remote platforms shift much of that operational burden to the provider.
