Cortical Cloud is the remote route into Cortical Labs' CL1 platform. The provider maintains the neural cultures and hardware; users deploy experiments through software interfaces.

What the current service exposes

  • remote execution on CL1 systems
  • browser access and Jupyter notebooks
  • Python SDK deployment
  • networked input and output for external systems
  • provider-managed neural health and infrastructure

Current access status

The Cortical Cloud product page is live and links to sign-up. The public page text checked on 17 August 2026 does not display a current price.

Research relevance

A July 2026 preprint on closed-loop classification used Cortical Cloud and described real-time API access to CL1 platforms in Melbourne. The work focused on how stimulation encoding affects classification performance in biological neural networks.
